We’ve wrapped our first month on the road and in two words it’s been fantastic and full! I compiled a list of stats and even amazed myself…see what you think!

  • 525 miles traveled in the RV
  • 14 family members visited
  • 107 friends visited (disclaimer: we attended a Ranger Association event, a surprise birthday party, and a memorial service ☹)
  • 2 long weekends having young Thomas camp with us!!!
  • 3 State Parks overnight
  • 1 Army Corps of Engineers Park for 2 weeks
  • 2 driveways surfed with friends
  • 1 ranch stay for 12 days with 10 friends, 240 acres, cattle, chickens, deer, wild turkeys, sandhill cranes and sugarcane!
  • 2 former pastors visited, and 2 churches worshipped in (one we helped to plant almost 25 years ago)
  • 2 fabulous Thanksgiving meals with family and friends
  • 5 FSU football victories watched and celebrated 😊 😊 😊 😊 😊 and 1 crushing blow grieved to be denied the playoffs ☹
  • 26 miles walked/biked (waaay off our mark but look again at this list!!) 😉
  • 8 dozen muffins, brownies and cookies baked in my new oven!
  • 10+ RV projects completed (DIY and 1 hired out)
  • 1 major plumbing failure (I’ll spare you the details, but it took us, mostly Tom, half a day to repair and clean up! All good now, phew.

What a month, right? We’ve now slowed down and are in the Fort Myers area near family through Christmas, then over to Fort Lauderdale for the New Year (to our peeps there, we’re comin for ya)! To the rest of you, THANK YOU for following our adventure and please stay tuned as our See My America tour rolls your way. 😊
